Here's how to order your portrait.
Email Photos: Send me an email at steve_webster@sbcglobal.net with a high resolution picture of your dog. Don't hesitate to send me more than one picture. That can often suggest different creative options, and can also provide a better "sense" of your dog. I'll give you a call to talk about the details. Click here for Photography Tips
Select a Medium: Choose either a pastel or acrylic painting.
- Pastel: Pastels create a softer edged, somewhat more atmospheric picture. It's a great medium for portraits of your furry friends. The paper will be high quality acid free paper, and it will be sprayed with fixative. All pictures are delivered unframed. I recommend a double or triple mat for the picture. It should be framed with a non-glare glass covering it to protect the surface.
- Painting: Paintings often have more vivid colors and more detail control. Paintings can be simply framed - or not - and hung, so there no glass between you and the picture. I'm using acrylic paint. It's a little different look than oil.
- Size: The size will be somewhere between 11 x 14 and 18 x 24. I gravitate to a larger size as that gives me a more room to work. It will depend on the photo and of course, what you want. If there's a size you really want for some reason, let me know and we'll work on that.
Request Delivery Date: Allow between 2 to 6 weeks to complete your picture. If the portrait is a gift needed by a specific date like a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Valentines Day, etc. try to allow more time - as close to 6 weeks as possible - to allow for delivery time and to ensure that the picture is completed in time. Then, be prepared to be incredibly popular with that special person to whom you give the portrait!
